Back on the air after missing the last show due to weather, we had quite a studio-full this time. Anchoring things were our co-captains Jackson McGraw and Micah Peregrino, assisted by stalwarts Jon Pedersen and Debbie Kim, and newbies Paige Hollis and Ryan Owesne. Many topics were covered, starting with the current debate resolution which involves whether or not the rise of China as a superpower is a good thing for the United States.
Our Radio Forum this week focused on gun control, the President's initiative, the gun laws passed in New York, and other aspects of societal violence. Debbie Kim and Micah Peregrino did stalwart duty, and we welcomed new team member Torian Gadson.
We decided to focus on this month's debate resolution, which relates to campaign financing and the Citizens United decision by the Supreme Court. Micah Peregrino and Debbie Kim took the Pro side, and Jackson McGraw and Jon Pedersen were on Con. Thanks to the fact that they've been preparing for this Saturday's WACFL tournament, they were ready for a rousing session. You'll enjoy it, I did.
